Dima Tawil
A Palestinian artist and designer based in Jerusalem, I teach in the Ceramics and Glass Department at Bezalel College of Arts and Design.
Through my work with ceramics, I seek sensory expression and profound human experience. My work stems from a sense of incompleteness—not in myself, but in the connection and inclusion we lack in our relationships with others.
Through materials, shapes, and spaces, I attempt to create an alternative language, silent yet eloquent, that speaks of absence and of those spaces where people are not seen as they should be.
Ceramics, for me, is not just a material; it is a tool of resistance, a constant search for human presence in a world that sometimes lacks its simplest forms.
